Join PMI and IPNWPA to give local Seniors a brighter holiday! PMI is partnering with the Insurance Professionals of NW PA (IPNWPA) to give local senior citizens a brighter holiday season. PMI will be collecting items and money to support Shirley’s Angels. We will also join IPNWPA on Thursday, Dec. 8 to assemble gift bags for local senior citizens. About Shirley’s Angels Shirley’s Angels mission is to make a difference in the lives of others and spread a little kindness and happiness to those who need it most. In 2019, with the help of friends and family, Shirley’s Angels was able to make 40 gift bags that were delivered to a local nursing home on Christmas morning and gifted to seniors who do not have anyone who visits them. The time spent with these amazing individuals was both heartbreaking and uplifting all in one. Shortly after this, Covid became a part of our world and Shirley’s Angels was put on the back burner. It’s now rekindled, and they would like to bless as many seniors as they can this Holiday season. What we need from YOU! Donate items or money The following are some ideas for items that are perfect for the gift bags for the senior citizens. Slipper Socks with grips Crossword Puzzle Books (large print) Pen and paper set (Stationery) Adult coloring books & pens/colored pencils Large print books Simple craft kits Puzzles Games (dominoes, etc.) Individual Pocket Tissues Combs/Brushes Candy/Snacks Lotion Small Blankets Any Hygiene type products Chap Sticks Small Stuffed Animals Small Dry Erase Boards Magnifying Glasses Magazines Small flashlights Nightlights Anything else you think senior citizens would use or enjoy If you’d like to purchase items, you can do so and: Bring to the event, Give to Jen Kubiak (ERIE Home Office, 1st floor Holland Street Bldg.) or Michele Luthringer (TBH2NE, hoteling station 2465), or Contact Jen to arrange item pick-up. You can also donate money via Venmo, @Jennifer-Kubiak. Please indicate it’s for Shirley’s Angels. Join IPNWPA for Dinner OR bag assembly IPNWPA will be meeting at Calamari’s on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 5 pm for dinner and bag assembly. If you’d like to join us for dinner, please contact Katelin Onslow (IPNWPA President) by Friday, December 2. The cost of dinner will be approximately $20, paid by the individual (NOT PMI). We will also be having a $10 white elephant gift exchange, which is optional. If you’d like to join for bag assembly only, please join us at 6:30 pm.
