Juanita Mort, CAP, MOSM is a dynamic speaker and accomplished trainer, bringing over 25 years of expertise as Executive Assistant, Administrative Support Coordinator and strategic business partner to the Vice President of Information Technology and Learning Experience/CIO/CISO at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. Recognized as a consummate professional, Juanita has honed a unique skill set that seamlessly blends strategic collaboration with executive support, enabling organizations to focus on key operational priorities.
With a passion for enriching students' learning experiences through technology, Juanita has become a respected authority in the training space. As a non-credit instructor and staff trainer, Juanita is not just an educator but a guide who imparts valuable insights in small-group settings, particularly focusing on the Microsoft Office platform, leadership and soft skills. Her training philosophy is rooted in real-world experience, having served as an executive assistant supporting senior executives and CEOs in high-pressure environments. This unique perspective allows Juanita to provide practical knowledge and skills needed not just for success but for excellence.
Juanita's commitment to education is evident in her academic achievements, holding associate degrees in business administration and computer information systems. Her extensive list of certifications, including IAAP Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) with specializations in Organizational Management, Project Management, and Technology Applications, as well as Microsoft Office Specialist Expert and Master, showcases her dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends.
An unwavering advocate for the administrative profession, Juanita believes in recognizing and appreciating the vital roles played by administrative professionals in a company's success. Her leadership extends beyond the workplace, as evidenced by her role as the 2019-2020 IAAP President and Board Chair, where she fostered relationships with organizations supporting administrative professions such as IMA, ESL, AAP, and ASAP.
In addition to her professional commitments, Juanita is an active community volunteer, serving as a the Technology Officer to the World Administrators Alliance (WAA). She previously served as a Summit Facilitator and Project Manager for the 2022 WAA Summit. She contributes her expertise to HACC-related opportunities, including the Administrative Office Management Advisory Board and the Strategic Planning Leadership Committee. Juanita also plays a vital role in community projects, such as "The Church has Left the Building" with her local church.
A resident of Harrisburg with her husband, Jerry, Juanita finds joy in being Mimi and Pop-Pop to their four children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
